The Muslim American Public Affairs Council (MAPAC) proudly announces our 2024 Election Endorsement Lists!

Our dedicated board members and volunteers have worked tirelessly to organize events with candidates, analyze races, and endorse those who we believe best represent the interests of the Muslim community and all North Carolinians. As a non-partisan organization, we have reached out to all parties and candidates to build positive connections and ensure Muslim voices and values are represented.

As evident from our endorsements, we have selected candidates from various parties rather than endorsing from a single party. Now, we urge our community to unite and amplify our voice at the polls. Every eligible voter must cast their vote—let’s make sure our voices are heard!

During the early voting period of Oct 17 – Nov 2 you may vote at any early voting site in your county. That includes weekends! You may also register and vote at the same time if you are not registered. You are required to present valid photo identification when voting in person. You are permitted to carry the list with you while voting and may also refer to it using an electronic device. However, you are not allowed to communicate or take photos/videos in the booth.

Guidelines for Voting in Person Per the NC State Board of Elections:

  • Voter materials: Voters are allowed to bring their own materials, such as notes, into the voting booth.
  • Electronic devices: Voters can use electronic devices like smartphones to access candidate information in the booth, as long as they don’t use them to communicate or take photos/videos of the ballot.
  • ID requirements: North Carolina voters are required to present a valid photo identification when voting in person. If a voter does not have a valid photo ID, they can obtain one from their county board of elections prior to the election or during the early voting period.
