Understanding Our Endorsement Process

The Importance of Candidate Evaluation

MAPAC evaluates candidates based on alignment with core principles rooted in Islamic values and American constitutional ideals. These include protecting freedom of religion and civil liberties; respecting the dignity of all people and rejecting rhetoric that targets religious or immigrant communities; upholding faith, family, moral values, and the sanctity of life; committing to justice, honesty, and equal application of the law; supporting parental rights and educational choice; practicing fiscal responsibility to reduce burdens on working families; opposing government overreach and abuse of power; prioritizing domestic needs over foreign wars and excessive foreign aid; protecting Muslim holy sites and access to worship in Jerusalem; and advancing transparency, accountability, and limits on undue special-interest influence in government.
