2025 NC Local Elections

The Muslim American Public Affairs Council (MAPAC) proudly announces its endorsements for the 2025 Local Elections.

Our board members and dedicated volunteers worked diligently to meet with candidates, host forums where possible, and carefully review available information. Endorsement decisions were guided by the criteria outlined in MAPAC’s 2024 Endorsement Guide.

Endorsements were made only in races where the committee had sufficient information to make an informed decision and identified the candidate most likely to deliver the best outcomes for the public. In some cases, this meant choosing between two highly qualified candidates.

MAPAC remains steadfast in its commitment to engaging public officials in support of our community and the broader public good. For candidates who were not endorsed this cycle, we look forward to continued dialogue and potential future collaboration.

We urge our community to unite and amplify our voice at the polls. Every eligible voter must cast their vote—let’s make sure our voices are heard!

Early voting for North Carolina’s 2025 municipal elections begins on Thursday, October 16, 2025, and continues through Saturday, November 1, 2025. The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with polling places open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

You are permitted to carry the list with you while voting and may also refer to it using an electronic device. However, you are not allowed to communicate or take photos/videos in the booth.

Guidelines for Voting in Person Per the NC State Board of Elections:

  • Voter materials: Voters are allowed to bring their own materials, such as notes, into the voting booth.
